Women's health care in Tabriz, for patients outside Iran.
This page is for visitors and Iranians living abroad who are thinking of being seen by Dr. Leili Rasoulifard, an obstetrician, gynecologist and fertility specialist in Tabriz. It explains what to collect before you come and how to reach the support team.

- Past pregnancies and births, including any miscarriages and caesareans

- For fertility: both partners' tests, including a semen analysis, and notes from any earlier treatment
- Operation notes and pathology reports from any gynecological surgery
- Every medicine and supplement you use, your general health conditions and your allergies
The way to send these documents is still being confirmed. For now, call the international support line: +989302272111

Practical questions
Can a diagnosis be made from my records alone?
No. Your records help the doctor understand your situation, but a diagnosis and a treatment plan come after an examination and the right tests.
Should I stop my medicines before I travel?
No. Keep taking your medicines as prescribed and do not stop or change any of them without your own doctor. Bring the list with you.
How long would I need to stay in Tabriz?
It depends on the tests and visits you need. Some fertility tests are timed to the cycle, and surgery needs recovery time. The doctor can tell you after the first visit.
I am pregnant. Is it safe to travel?
Ask the doctor who is following your pregnancy before you book, and ask about the airline's rules. Do not travel with bleeding, severe pain or a baby moving less than usual. Get care where you are.
I have sudden severe pain or heavy bleeding. Can I wait until I travel to Tabriz?
Please do not wait. These can be signs of an emergency, such as an ectopic pregnancy. Get care where you are today. See the list of urgent signs in the guide.
What about language, fees and insurance?
These are not confirmed yet and are listed above as awaiting details. Please do not assume anything until they are confirmed.
What number do I call in an emergency?
115 is Iran's emergency number. It works only while you are in Iran. From abroad, use your local emergency number.
Every patient's situation is different; ask your doctor about your own.
